For $15 for adults and $10 for children 3-11 (children under three ride free) visitors can take a ride to Sand Dollar. This sandbar offers the best hunting grounds for sand dollars. Located between Bird Shoal and Shackleford Banks, the shallow tidal pools surrounding the sandbar offer a safe swimming environment and excellent snorkeling opportunities.
This is VERY safe and fun adventure for the ‘little explorers’ in your family, but also really fascinating place for curious adults. You never know what kind of unique and interesting wildlife you will discover while wading in the gently lapping shallows of Sand Dollar.
